Renée McAlister holds a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Development from Louisiana State University. Presently Renée is a writer and national creative consultant for William H. Sadlier, Inc. She is also an adjunct professor at South Louisiana Community College. Previously she was the Principal of Saint Mary Early Learning Center, where she helped open the school. Renée has also taught kindergarten and preschool for a number of years. Renée has been presenting at various conferences on the national, regional, and local levels for many years. For the past twenty years, she has been conducting workshops for teachers incorporating hands-on activities into the curriculum. Renée has co-authored teacher's guides, student books, and ancillary materials for religion programs published by William H. Sadlier, Inc. Renée is co-founder of A Child's Garden. She is one of the authors of the Hands Across the Curriculum series of books for teachers. She is married and the mother of four boys. |

Julie Brunet holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette. Presently Julie is a writer and national creative consultant for William H. Sadlier, Inc., and Music Director for Saint Mary Early Learning Center. Previously she was the Assistant Principal at Saint Mary Early Learning Center. She taught kindergarten for 13 years before coming to Saint Mary Early Learning Center. She is an editor of the children's book, The Legend of Catfish and Little Bream, and the composer of the song, Life in the Pond, based on this book. Julie has been presenting at various conferences on the national, regional, and local levels for many years. She has also been conducting workshops for teachers incorporating hands-on activities into the curriculum.
